Nicole Miller, CPA
Tax Supervisor

Nicole Miller is a Tax Supervisor with HiAccounting, supporting individuals, entrepreneurs, and closely held businesses with tax preparation, multi-state compliance, and proactive planning. She brings more than 10 years of tax and accounting experience and a practical, operational perspective that helps clients understand not only what their taxes are, but why they work the way they do.

Nicole began her career at a CPA firm founded by former Big Four partners, where she developed a strong technical foundation working with large and complex clients operating across multiple states and jurisdictions. This early experience shaped her ability to navigate sophisticated entity structures while keeping tax compliance aligned with real-world business operations.

Over the course of her career, Nicole has worked extensively with partnerships, LLCs, and growing companies at every stage, from entity formation and registration through expansion, multi-state filing requirements, and ownership transitions. Her experience includes coordinating multi-state filings, managing quarterly estimated tax requirements, and advising clients on the tax impact of operational and structural changes.

In addition to public accounting, Nicole has served in a senior financial leadership role for a multi-entity organization with multiple LLC and C-corporation subsidiaries, where she oversaw accounting operations, cash flow forecasting, and tax compliance across affiliated entities and ownership levels. This experience gives her a unique perspective into how tax decisions affect liquidity, operations, and long-term business strategy.

Clients appreciate Nicole’s responsiveness, attention to detail, and clear communication. Having worked inside growing businesses as well as in public accounting, she anticipates issues early, identifies planning opportunities, and helps business owners stay compliant while focusing on growth with confidence.

Nicole holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from West Virginia Wesleyan College, where she participated in track and field and volleyball.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and staying active with the family.
